Here Are The Reasons Why Facebook Ad Is The Best Advert For Your Business

I have seen many small companies hit the ground running, and I have been a part of many success stories, and one of the biggest challenges for these is funding…funds to put their ideas in front of the world, and I guess has done pretty well in that area.

Nigerians can’t put up their ideas on (am not surprised) and it makes starting your business even harder and more challenging for. I don’t need to tell you what these TVs and Radio stations will bill you just for that 30-second ad. So should you continue saving up for these? Or should you look for alternatives?
Well, I’ll give you the last advice I gave a friend who has a product to sell but doesn’t have the funds to push it out there. I told him to ditch these big guys and give Facebook ads a trial, well, he did, and he is seeing real ROI.

Why Facebook?
Simply put, that’s where you’ll find your customers. If ads were accepted on WhatsApp, I would be writing this article “for WhatsApp ads ”.
Facebook said that there are over 15 million active users of the social platform every month, and over 7.5 million every day, and 97 percent of these 7.5 million access Facebook via mobile. So we can say, that people are now spending more time on Facebook than they spend on radio or TV.

So can you now see the opportunity your startup has to get in front of the world? The average Nigerian wants to Facebook, LOL, even my grandma; they have been hardwired somehow to believe that anything internet is “Facebook.”
The millennial will rather post pictures of their day on Facebook, they will rather lock themselves in their rooms chatting than come to the sitting room to watch TV, and even when they watch their Korean and Filipino love movies, they continue chatting, they even pause the movies just to reply a message, like a post, tag friends or search friends.
So if Nigeria is where your target audience is, Facebook is a perfect touch point .

Another good reason why you might want to use Facebook ads is this: Of all forms of media I know, Facebook is the one point you can run ads on without coming off as advertising your products. The first few seconds of a YouTube video might be an ad, and I have been hardwired to “skip ad” because that’s not what I want to watch.
If our radio and TV stations ever give us the ability to skip ads, I can tell you that their revenues will fall drastically.
This doesn’t mean that people wouldn’t know an ad on Facebook, what it means is that it stands out less, and integrates perfectly into the Facebook news feed.

If you have an e-commerce store, and you’re not Jumia or Konga, Facebook ads might not be the perfect place to get people to buy your products. (This paragraph is speaking of the African Market ONLY, it doesn’t touch the western world.) But I will clear this in a minute.

Here is the point. You can meet prospective customers on Facebook, people who are really interested in your products, and if you’re running a Lead Ad, where people give you their emails, or place “pay on delivery” orders, Facebook is a great option. Facebook is also great for getting people curious about your product or concept, and if they like it, you might have to meet in person to transact business.

Nigerians, and Africans as a whole find the concept of giving you their credit card info at checkout really hard to trust, I ran a conversion ads and I had a ton of customers adding the products to the cart. When they got to the checkout, they didn’t see anything like “bring the product and I’ll give you money” and they disappeared, never to return.
So if you are fine with the “bring the product and I’ll give you money” concept, then Facebook ads is the way to go. But not even the MIGHTY KONGA survived Pay On Delivery.

Now back to my point. I have run Facebook ads targeting people in the western world (Europe and Americas basically) and people pay ever before their products are delivered, so if your target audience is in that part of the world, then be assured that you’ll get sales without issues.
If your target is getting those leads (people requesting your products, emails, attendance at events etc.), then Facebook ads is perfect

With just 5 dollars per day, you can get over 1500 people to know about your product. Facebook ads targeting Nigerians is pretty cheap, and that means you’ll see the ROI you expect, that I know.

Compared to the traditional methods of advertising, I think this method is the safest and cheapest. You can stop Facebook ads at any time, you don’t have to kill your startup’s account just to run an ad, and you’ll ONLY be billed for people who engage with your ad.
I have been able to do Facebook ad for many companies, I have tried it with my firm, and I have seen a lot of activities, and afterward results on the ads, but there is something you need to know, and that is targeting. I’ll be going in-depth on targeting in a future article, and that’ll come if this post can hit 1k shares.

Never Run a “boost post” ads from your Facebook page. I have seen a lot of peeps do this, but honestly, that’ll waste your money. The “boost post” is always below posts on your Facebook page, never click on that if you plan to run profitable ads.
