Hoodlums shoot DPO in Benue community during looting

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Otukpo Police Station in Benue State, Yahaya Pawa was on Tuesday December 1 shot by hoodlums.

The state police spokesperson, Kate Anene confirmed the incident and also revealed that the incident occurred on Tuesday morning after the DPO led officers to Icho-Otukpo settlement to arrest suspected criminals who looted items during a fire outbreak in Otukpo market.

Anene said Pawa is steady and receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
