Madagascar President Leaves World Health Organisation Cause Of There Bad Faith On African Countries

Madagascar President Leaves WHO

The Madagascar few weeks ago found a cure for Corona virus and has tried to present it to the World Health Organization but the cure was criticized.

WHO is an international health organization formed in 1948 and is a unit the League of Nations which then became United Nations. Its broad mandate includes advocating for universal healthcare, monitoring public health risks, coordinating responses to health emergencies, and promoting human health and well being. It provides technical assistance to countries, sets international health standards and guidelines, and collects data on global health issues through the World Health Survey. It is made up of almost every country of the world.

It is controlled however by those with money as money always does. After WHO rejected the cure from Madagascar, Africans were not pleased by this since the tree used to cure is a common tree in most of African countries thus increasing the chances of stopping the spread of Corona virus. This has a negative impact on the business side of those gaining from the effects of this pandemic.

This act of WHO has shown the European bad faith on Africa and its achievement. We can not continue to be puppets of the Europeans and Americans just because we don’t have enough resources. This has led the President of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina to call on all African Nations to quit the World Health Organization World Health Organization (WHO) because of the bad faith of Europe towards Africa.

According to Andry Rajoelina, “Europe created organizations with the desire for Africans to remain dependent on them. Africa has found a medicine against Coronavirus but Europe thinks they have a monopoly of intelligence as such they are refusing to acknowledge it. It is against this backdrop that I invite all African Nations to quit the international organizations in order for us to build ours. My country Madagascar leaves all the organizations tonight and I call on other African Nations to do same.”

It’s up to us as other African states to decide either to stand with Madagascar or with WHO.

Let me know what you think. A child grows and becomes independent eventually but is it the right time?
